PRIVACY POLICY

When you use the Sarpanch Samvaad (App), some personal information is collected from and about you. We are committed to protecting the security of this information and safeguarding your privacy. This privacy policy sets out the details of the personal information collected, the manner in which it collected, by whom as well as the purposes for which it is used. At registration you accepted the terms of this Privacy Policy and your use of the App signifies your continued acceptance thereof. This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time and you will be notified of all such changes. By using our mobile application and providing your Aadhaar information, you consent to the collection, processing, and verification of your Aadhaar data as described herein. In order to use the App, you will be required to consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy as revised from time to time.

(a) When you register on the App, information is collected from you and stored securely on a server operated and managed by the QCI IT Team (Server). The following information will be fetched through Aadhaar API linkages along with other information which may be entered manually (Registration Information) (i) name; (ii) phone number; (iii) address; (iv) photo (v) gender (vi) date of birth (vii) Father’s Name.

(b) This information will be stored on the Server and a unique digital id (DiD) will be pushed to your App. The DiD will thereafter be used to identify you in all subsequent App related transactions

(c) No personal information other than those mentioned above will be collected from you by the App.

(a) The name and mobile number of Sarpanchs with their respective Panchayats are sourced from https://gpdp.nic.in/index.html. This is as per the information provided by Panchayats on eGramSWARAJ application of Ministry of Panchayati Raj.

(b) The mapping of Gram Panchayats with their respective blocks and districts are retrieved through https://lgdirectory.gov.in/.

(a) The personal information collected from you under Clause 1 above, will be used to create a profile for you. The App allows Sarpanchs and Advisory Sarpanchs to exchange ideas and information on the platform. For this purpose, information about your name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, name of the state, district, subdistrict, gram panchayat will be displayed on the App.

(b) The information collected under Clause 1 will not be used for any purpose other than those mentioned in this Clause.

All personal information collected from you under Clause 1 will be retained for as long as your account remains in existence.

(a) As a registered user, you have the right to access your profile at any time to add or modify specific Registration Information that you have supplied.

(b) If you no longer wish to use the App, you are free to delete the App. Please note that deleting the app will delete all the information stored on your phone but will not delete any information stored on the Server. If you wish to delete the information about you that is stored on the Server, you will have to cancel your registration first. Once you confirm that you want to cancel the registration, all the information provided by you under Clause 1 will be deleted immediately.

The App is equipped with standard security features to protect the confidentiality and security of your information. Data is encrypted in transit as well as at rest. Personal information provided at the time of registration is encrypted before being uploaded to the cloud where it is stored in a secure encrypted Server. Personal information that is stored in the Apps of other registered users that you come in contact with is securely encrypted and are incapable of being accessed by such user.

Save as otherwise set out in Clause 2 above with respect to information provided , no personal information collected by the App will be disclosed or transferred to any third party. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume any responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, quality, or legality of any user content. We disclaim any liability for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in user content, as well as any reliance placed upon such content by users of the App. The Aadhar verification services may involve interactions with third-party services or platforms. Quality Council of India shall not be responsible for any issues arising from such interactions.

We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s storage. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.

We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or the Application. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

You may at any time review or change the information in your account or terminate your account by:
● Logging into your account settings and updating your account
● Contacting us using the contact information provided below

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, some information may be retained in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

Further, the users of the Aadhaar verification services are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy, validity, and legality of the information provided for verification. Any actions taken based on the results of the verification process are at the user's own risk.

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from us, you may opt-out by:
● Noting your preferences at the time you register your account with the Application
● Logging into your account settings and updating your preferences.

If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails, or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.

Your data will not be used for any purpose other than identity verification for our mobile application. We do not share your Aadhaar data with any third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent. We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

a. By Law or to Protect Rights
If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation. This includes exchanging information with other entities for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

b. Interactions with Other Users
If you interact with other users of the Application, those users may see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity, including sending invitations to other users, chatting with other users, liking posts, following blogs.

c. Online Postings
When you post comments, contributions or other content to the Applications, your posts may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside the Application in perpetuity
